silver jewelry that feels weighty in my hand

the impossibly satisfying heavy click of a film camera shutter.

people who chat to me on the train, at the shop counter, or anywhere really. I'm nosy and love to be involved in other peoples' lives, just for that few minutes.

a red sky at night (fine weather tomorrow!)

discovering a perfect new word (is there anything more wonderful than patching a gap in your language that you didn't know you had?)

the warm comfort of old friends who know me so well that there's no point in pretending I'm anything more or less than I really am.
